Special thanks to President Andy Maunder for co-ordinating the Centaurs Annual Pig Roast and Kaityln Sharpe, Emily Fretts and the women’s team for putting together the raffle prizes and the Hawaiian Luau.

Jon Goldie and The Plaidz put on a great show upstairs at the clubhouse after the games as The Centaurs 3rd XV hosted the Trinidad & Tobago U20 National Team on their Canadian Tour.

The Burlington Centaur Women’s team dominated over Norfolk for the last women’s home game of the season. The Burlington women displayed aggressive rucking, strong scrummaging and great backplay to run up the score on Norfolk and hold them to a shutout for as the Centaurs defeated Norfolk 69-0. Excellent performances from positions 1-18 have the women in a tight race for 2nd place in the NRU B League.

The Burlington Centaurs Men’s 1st XV hosted Fergus Highland for the Centaur’s last regular season home game of the season. Fergus started the game off with possession of the ball and the Centaurs played some tight defense holding off any significant Fergus territorial gain. The Centaurs were able to force a Highland penalty and Brendan Bryan was easily able to slot the posts. Soon after on a Fergus turnover the Centaurs were able to score on the outside. With the momentum in favour of the Centaurs, as the Centaurs continued to cross the try line for the bonus point with the team playing some strong defence to hold Fergus to a shutout. Scoring on the day were Zack Shurtleff with two tries, Matt Woodley, Josh Jones and Danny Jenkins each with one try as the Centaurs 1st XV defeated Highland 34-0.
